I’m a 60% disabled veteran looking for us to take our first ever trip to Disney. Are there any discounts for disabled veterans ? I read there are for active duty but have not seen anything on disables vets.

    Hiya Jeffrey,

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your service and sacrifice to our country! We are deeply grateful for your commitment and for the sacrifices made by your family. It is an honor to assist you in planning your first-ever trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, and I hope to help make it a magical and memorable experience for your family.

Regarding discounts for military personnel, Walt Disney World offers fantastic options for eligible individuals. Disabled veterans with a VA disability rating of 100% qualify for the same discounts as active-duty service members. One of the best resources available is the Shades of Green, an Armed Forces Recreation Center located on Walt Disney World property. They offer discounted room rates and tickets for eligible service members, including some disabled veterans. You can confirm your eligibility by visiting their official eligibility page. Additionally, Shades of Green ticket options allow Guests to enjoy the magic at a reduced cost while staying at this peaceful and convenient resort.

If you don’t meet the eligibility requirements for Shades of Green discounts, Hakuna Matata, I encourage you to explore the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page on the Walt Disney World website. I’ve found some of these offers incredible—sometimes even better than other discounts. From reduced rates on Disney Resorts Collection hotel stays to ticket bundles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

As you begin planning your vacation, I’d love to help guide you further! Selecting the right Disney Resorts Collection hotel is key, and there’s a perfect option for every family and budget. I also recommend looking into the Lightning Lane Multi Pass to help you maximize your park time and avoid long wait times for popular attractions. And no Disney vacation would be complete without dining at some of the incredible restaurants throughout the resort—I’d be thrilled to recommend some top picks based on your family’s preferences.

Jeffrey, you and your family deserve an extraordinary vacation, and I’m here to help every step of the way. Feel free to return with more questions as you plan your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth!

    See you real soon!
