Ahoy, Kathy! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for sailing over with your question about Disney Cruise Line.
There is no need to worry because every stateroom includes a beverage cooler, which provides a convenient way to store your medications while you are onboard. According to the
Information for Guests with Disabilities and/or Medical Conditions guide, the beverage coolers typically maintain a temperature of around 40-42 degrees Fahrenheit and offer safe storage for most medications needing refrigeration. However, if your particular medications require a lower refrigerated temperature, then you can reach out to the
Special Services team ahead of your sailing to request medical accommodations.
Additionally, if you need to bring a small cooler to safely store your medication while traveling on embarkation and debarkation days, then you can also do that as long as it meets the size requirements. Although coolers are typically
prohibited onboard, guests needing a cooler for medication storage are allowed to bring a cooler no larger than 12” x 12” x 12” as part of their carry-on luggage.
I hope that puts your mind at ease and sets you on course for smooth sailing during your upcoming cruise. If you have any other questions prior to embarkation day, then do not hesitate to reach back out to me and my friends at planDisney. Happy sailing!
