I'm still deployed overseas, and will be heading to WDW 3-12 Feb. I want to make reservations early, but won't be returning until mid-Dec to sit down with the girls and plan the trip. Will it be difficult that late in the game for that timeframe? Thanks!

    Hi Heather,

First let me say thank you for your service to our country.  I am truly grateful for all of our service men and women.  It is an honor to answer a question for you.  Its great to hear that you are planning to spend time with your family at Disney World when you return home.

Advanced Dining Reservations can be made beginning 180 days prior to your dates of travel.  The most popular dining locations tend to book up fast.  If there are some dining locations that you think your girls might like, I'd go ahead and book them now to ensure you get the ones you think they'll want most.  If they already know about the trip, they could even look at some of the locations online before you book.

Once you return home, you can all sit down and plan your daily itineraries so that they will still be involved in the planning.  If you see that some of the reservations you've made won't work into your final plans, you can cancel them or try to move your dining reservations.  Some locations have special cancellation policies so just make sure you are aware of them when you book just in case you need to cancel.

Let us know if you need some suggestions. Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
