I'm debating whether to switch our resort reservation from POR to a cabin at FW. With an 8-mo-old baby, we'd rent a golf cart instead of using the internal bus system, but is there parking for it at the main bus stop when we go to/from the parks?

    Hi Melissa!

I love the Fort Wilderness Resort and spend quite a bit of time there. My husband and I have a motor coach and we come down and stay for a few months at a time. There is no other place we would want to be then at Disney and having pets this makes it possible to stay longer for each visit.

My family loves the cabins there. You will have the separate bedroom with a queen bed and bunks. In the hall just outside the bedroom is the bathroom. You could easily put the baby in a crib in the living area or give the baby the bedroom as there is a queen size sofa sleeper in the living area. There is a small tv in the bedroom and a large flatscreen tv in the living room.

Renting Golf Carts has always been a special thing for our family to do. We finally decided to purchase our own since we stay so long and we use it all the time. You can park it in special lots both at the main bus depot at the front of the resort where you catch all of the buses and at the marina where you catch the Magic Kingdom boat. There is also ample parking at the pools, Trading Posts, and the bike barn where you will find the Chip and Dale's Campfire Singalong each night.

The demand for the golf carts is huge so please call immediately if you wish to rent one for your vacation.

I vote for the cabins for your stay as they are very quiet and peaceful and perfect when you need the space to put a baby down for a nap and still have some time for tv or movie yourself.
