Hello Bre,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations for the new addition to your family!
My son’s first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort was when he was almost 6 months old. I don’t regret a single second of that trip and, in fact, I think it may be one of my family’s favourites. People often asked me why I bothered bringing him with us considering “he wouldn’t remember anything”. My answer to them was always: “He may not remember this, but I will!!” The look of awe on his face when he saw
Dumbo the Flying Elephant, his fascination with the colours and sounds of
it’s a small world and his delight at seeing the fireworks of
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth are now some of my most precious memories.
I have a couple of tips to make your July visit more enjoyable: First, make sure to use the
Baby Care Centers if you ever need a quiet place to nurse/change diapers. Second, if you always visit in July, you know how hot it can get! I would recommend staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel (if you didn’t already intend to do so) and heading back to your Resort for a midday rest and nap for you and for your little one. Finally, my son absolutely LOVED splashing around at
Tike's Peak at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, and I can't think of a more refreshing place to bring your little one for some fun in the sun.
Enjoy making magical memories this July!!
Lynne
