I'm on the DDP,but I will need to pay out of pocket for one table service meal. I'm trying to figure out the most cost effective one: Dinner @ Rainforest, Breakfast @ Crystal Palace, Dinner @O'hana. The rest will be DDP character dinners.

Hi Jennifer! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is so great to hear from you again.

I know for myself that even when I am on the Disney Dining Plan I always find it a bit hard to choose just the right amount of Table-Service meals during our vacation. There always seems to be so many that I add to my “must-do” list that I do often find myself having to pay for an extra Table-Service meal.

Typically like you I do try to find the meal that will cost the least amount of money out of pocket. Usually I find that these are the meals that do not have characters. Breakfast and lunch also seem to be more cost effective when figuring out of pocket pricing. There are a couple of resources that I use to try to figure out pricing. If you search the Walt Disney World Resort website, you can enter in the name of the restaurant and on the restaurant’s page it will give you a price range to help you know what to expect in terms of pricing. Another website that I really love (though keep in mind that it’s not an official Disney website) is allears.net. On this website you will find menu’s with prices for the vast majority of the restaurants at Disney. Please keep in mind that menu prices are subject to change without advance notice.

I hope that you enjoy dining at Disney as much as I do! Please come back and see us real soon with any other vacation planning questions that you may have!
