Hey there, Hayden, and welcome to planDisney!

You're counting down the days until your magical Walt Disney World vacation, and I couldn't be more excited for you! That final week before check-in is always such a whirlwind for my family. There are bags to pack, boxes to check, and last-minute details to manage. I know how it feels to want all your plans lined up for a stay that's practically perfect in every way. So let's make sure your Lightning Lane selections make all your dreams come true!

Hayden, I'll be really honest with you. I LOVE using Lightning Lane in Disney World! Call me bougie or extravagant, but I'll gladly trade a few weeks of takeout at home to shorten my wait times in Disney World. For me, the time I save with Lightning Lane is time I can use for relaxation - time at the pool, time eating snacks, or just wandering EPCOT's World Showcase. And since you're visiting during the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, you should definitely make time for that!

One of the things I love most about Lightning Lane is how easy they are to manage. Even on the best of days, things don't always go as planned. So I love being able to cancel and modify my selections on the fly! So here's the good news: you can modify your plans right now, and you'll also be able to do so once you arrive in Disney World. There's a lot of flexibility within this system, so you'll be free to change your mind about times and attractions throughout your stay.

Now let's talk about the important part: the how. First, open up your My Disney Experience app and tap on the hamburger icon (☰) at the bottom right of your screen. Then select the "Lightning Lane Passes" box.  The next screen should show you a list of all your Lightning Lane selections. Choose the attraction you want to modify, and a menu of alternative times and attractions should pop up on the next screen. If it sounds complicated now, don't worry! I promise it'll be second nature after you've done it once!

For more tips and information on using the Lightning Lane system, check out the video I've attached. My friends Sakinah and JoAnna do an incredible job of breaking it all down in a way that's really easy to understand.

I hope this helps, Hayden! I'm wishing you short wait times and plenty of pixie dust on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions as you finalize your plans, feel free to write me directly right here at planDisney.

    Warm hugs,

    Allison
