Hi Laura,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
I know that feeling, you’re on the cusp of having everything planned and you’re just waiting for that perfect reservation to come around. Hakuna Matata!
My best advice for
character dining would be to stay consistent with searching for availability. Cancellations can happen, especially closer to your dates, so check for availability often. Also remain flexible! Sometimes the reservation may not be available for the day you had in mind, but the day before or the day after could be available.
Also keep in mind, for some dining reservations, you have the availability to do a
walk-up reservation! This is where you and your family arrive at the location of the restaurant and you use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to add yourself to the walk-up list. Now, not every restaurant has this option and it’s subject to availability, but it’s worth exploring! In the past, I’ve been able to snag last minute seats at
‘Ohana and
Chef Mickey’s just by using this
walk-up feature.
For the
Enchanting Extras Collection, if you aren’t seeing availability, try waiting until you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort and remember to be flexible. Similar to the restaurants, same-day reservations can be made, but are subject to availability. It’s definitely worth heading to your hotel concierge or Guest Relations to see if any last minute availability opens for any of these Enchanting experiences.
I know this wasn’t the news you were wishing for, but I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is useful as you continue looking for your holiday reservations. If you have any other planning or vacation questions,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
