Hi Daniel!
It's great to see another Coloradoan planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort and I'm happy to help you with your trip. You are going to love staying at one of the Disney Resort hotels on the Resort Monorail! My family loves to stay in this area because you have convenient transportation to the theme parks, access to the incredible dining options at all of the hotels on the Resort Monorail and the hotels themselves have excellent accommodations for your trip. Whichever one you pick will definitely be your "home" away from home!
Since you said your kids love the water, I would recommend that you stay at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, which is my favorite Disney Resort hotel. Both of the
pools at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort have been recently renovated and are fun for the entire family. The Lava Pool has a 142 foot-long waterslide that your kids will love. When we visited, my son wanted to ride the slide over, and over, and over...! Plus, this pool has a zero-depth entry point, so it's just like you are going to the beach. If you want a quieter pool day, you can also check out the Oasis Pool, which is a great spot to unwind after a busy theme park day.
Beyond the amazing pools, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort offers incredible dining options and fun lounges for the adults. We love the food at
Capt. Cook's, as well as all of the hotel's table service restaurants. Since your family is interested in amazing pools, a convenient location and an awesome hotel, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort would be a perfect choice for your trip.
T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
