I'm currently in the process of planning my next Disney vacation. I've only been to D.W. but would like to see D.L. at some point. Any advice for a solo traveler unsure of where to go next?

    Hi, Adrianna!

I’m happy to hear you’re planning your first vacation to the Disneyland Resort. You’re going to fall in love with the history and charm of Walt Disney’s very first theme park here on the West Coast, not to mention all of the recently-added magic at Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park!
Depending on when you visit, there could be special attractions, decorations and events to enjoy as part of the seasonal promotions at the Disneyland Resort. Be sure to check out the attractions list and entertainment schedule before arriving so you can plan your days based on your list of must-dos!

I recommend staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel because each of the three has its own unique benefits. Paradise Pier Hotel is typically the least expensive, and the rooms have a fun beach-inspired decor. The Disneyland Hotel rooms are quite large for standard accommodations and have been recently renovated to include chic furnishings with a touch of Disney magic. The carved wooden headboards are truly unique, and with the flip of a switch you can create your very own in-room light and music show! My personal favorite is Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, which exemplifies the Craftsman-style era in its grand architecture and decor. It is the closest to the theme parks and even features a private entrance into Disney California Adventure Park. As a Guest of a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you’ll be entitled to Extra Magic Hours, and you’ll never have to leave the excitement and wonder that Disney creates during your stay. Reservations can be made online or by calling the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 520-5050.

Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your pixie-dusted vacation, Adrianna! I’m happy to make more specific recommendations as you choose accommodations, dining, entertainment and recreation.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
