Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Diego!
I am so excited to hear that you are planning a visit with your mom to celebrate a special occasion! I have made the most beautiful memories at the Walt Disney World Resort over the years celebrating Christmas, my daughter’s birthdays, reunions and wedding anniversaries.
Being a Guest at a Disney Resort hotel and enjoying exclusive benefits is magical, and I always tell friends and family that if they ever have the chance they must experience a pixie dusted stay at one of the monorail resorts. I have had the pleasure of staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort, so I am happy to help you select the one you feel will be the most appropriate for your visit.
My mother is in her 60’s and her favorite hotel is
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Victorian elegance is simply breathtaking! We love going for walks around the beautiful grounds and spending time at the lobby to enjoy performances by the talented lobby pianist and the wonderful Grand Floridian Society Orchestra. The hotel is home to
amazing dining locations, including 1900 Park Fare, a popular character dining destination. I highly recommend making reservations at
Narcoossee’s and at the exclusive
Victoria & Albert’s for your special celebration. A great idea for a nice afternoon at the hotel is experiencing a
traditional afternoon tea served in British style at the Garden View Tea Room, and you can also invite your mom for drinks at the all-new
Enchanted Rose lounge. Another way to make her experience magical is booking a special treatment at
Senses – A Disney Spa and Salon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If you have little princesses and princes traveling with you, you may also book a royal transformation at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique located at the hotel.
We also love staying at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, my mom’s second favorite monorail Disney resort hotel! She loves nature and the hotel grounds and pools are absolutely stunning! We always make reservations for dinner at ‘Ohana, enjoy breakfast at Kona Cafe and the beautiful Spirit of Aloha is a great dinner show to celebrate a special occasion.
I hope this helps you while planning, Diego! Please stop by real soon to visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and remember that we are also available in Spanish, as already recommended to you by my dear friend Yael L.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
