Hiya Laura-Jay,
Welcome to planDisney! We are happy to have you here and to be a part of your planning journey. Walt Disney World Resort is a place for everyone, and Cast Members are incredibly dedicated to ensuring an enjoyable experience for all Guests. As someone with multiple tattoos, I firmly believe that tattoos are an extension of your artistic expression, and who understands that better than a place celebrating
100 years of storytelling and animation?
I'm sorry that your vacation research led you to incorrect information. Hopefully, I can help put your mind at ease. According to
Walt Disney World Property rules, visible tattoos that could be considered inappropriate (i.e., containing objectionable language or designs) must be covered. But that doesn't extend beyond inappropriate tattoos. When I'm at Walt Disney World Resort, you can see many of mine at any given time, and I've never had an issue. I've also witnessed many Guests painted like the "colors of the wind" and haven't noticed them being told to cover up at all. In fact, Walt Disney World Resort queues are one of my favorite places to get inspiration for my next pieces of ink.
I hope this made you feel better, Laura-Jay! You are accepted exactly as you are at Walt Disney World Resort, and we cannot wait to welcome you here. Before I let you go, please come back and see me if there is anything else you need. I would be happy to help answer any questions you may have.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
