I’m currently planning a dual-family trip for January of 2025 to WDW. While it’s a bit far out to plan, we have a lot (anywhere from 30-60 people) interested in attending. Does Disney still do large group rates? Should we consider splitting the group?

Hi Nichole and welcome to planDisney!

Any trip to Walt Disney World is fun, but coming with a large group is magical!  I love getting together with multiple families to hang out at the parks and let the kids all play together.  You have come to the right place with your question and hopefully I can give you some answers and direct you to where you can start.

I plan a reunion at Walt Disney World every year with 100+ Guests, so I'm quite familiar with group travel.  While Disney no longer offers discounted room rates for large parties, they do offer room block bookings through Disney Meetings & Events.  They can put together a package of rooms for you at the same Disney Resort hotel and then each family can book their own rooms under the block.  If you're interested in a private group gathering, they can also help set that up for you.  My reunion group has had private dessert parties during the fireworks at EPCOT, before park opening breakfasts at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and even a sunset social hour along Disney's BoardWalk.  Disney Meetings & Events has so many options, so I'm sure you'll be able to find something that is perfect for your group.  You can start by submitting your request online to have a Cast Member get in contact with you.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
