Disney Wish is right on the horizon, and I couldn’t be more excited for you! The Disney Wish holds a very special place in my heart. Within hours of being on board, walking around, and seeing the splendor all around me, I just knew we were going to be fast friends, and I was right!
Pirate Night was definitely one of my favorite nights on board, especially with the Pirate's Rockin' Parlay deck party! Add those fireworks at sea, and it feels like Fairy Godmother herself must have waved her magic wand to put this magical night together (with a little help from Captain Jack Sparrow, of course)!
One of my favorite parts of Pirate Night is always the Disney Pals we meet on board. We’ve had some unique Disney Character Experiences during Pirate Night and have plenty of treasured photos and keepsakes as a result!
You will be happy to know that, not only are there multiple characters you can meet on Pirate Night, but they also come out at multiple times during the evening! In my experience, they rarely come out during the
Main or Secondary Dining times, but before or after. This would be at about 3:00 PM-5:45 PM and then again, at about 9:00 PM-10:15 PM. While this is not guaranteed, it has been my experience on many Disney cruises, and regardless of which dinner or theater seating we had, we’ve always been able to catch our favorite Disney Pals in their best swashbuckling attire!
To really maximize your chances of not missing those beloved pals and getting those picture-perfect moments, I have three suggestions for you:
- Try to be dressed in your pirate best by 4:00 PM at the latest. The Pirate Night festivities start early at about 3:00 PM. This way, you can get a head start on any fun activities taking place before dinner, photo opportunities, and of course, head to those beloved meet-ups before any show that’s taking place in the Walt Disney Theater at 5:30 PM.
- Keep that watchful pirate eye on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. It’s going to be your map that leads you to all those treasured character meet-ups on board.
- Fifteen minutes before the character’s arrival time will be the “X” marking your actual time to arrive there. This will ensure that you get to meet them before they have to head off to their next pirate adventure.
Just for good measure, Susan, I'm going to throw in two more suggestions, from one Disney Wish Pirate to another. Don't skip out on Mickey & Minnie's Pirates in the Caribbean deck party happening at 7:45 PM on Deck 11. It's a great way to see a ton of your favorite Disney Pals taking the high stage in their best pirate attire. I also suggest purchasing the
Unlimited Digital Photo Package ahead of your cruise, because you're definitely going to want to keep those awesome photos, and purchasing it ahead of time offers the best pricing!
