Welcome to planDisney, Eunsil! Thank you for pointing your compass in our direction.
How wonderful that your autumn plans include a voyage on the Disney Dream.
Halloween on the High Seas cruises are full of fun! You can expect to have a ghoulishly good time trick-or-treating and dancing with your favorite Disney Pals.
I’m sorry you’ve encountered a bit of a snafu regarding your travel documents. I have some good news to share. Based on
Disney Cruise Line’s Travel Documentation page, passports are not required for U.S. citizens sailing out of New York. You can present an original or copy of your son’s state-issued birth certificate. Children 15 years of age and younger do not need a photo ID. I hope this is welcome news!
Keep your citizenship documents handy because you will need them for online check-in. You will submit a picture of everyone’s citizenship documentation and present these documents at the port. If this is your first Disney Cruise, you can start the check-in process 30 days before your sailing. Your check-in will show a "pending review" status until Disney Cruise Line has reviewed and approved your information.
Eunsil, I have one more treat you can share with your son. Download and print the
My Disney Cruise Adventure Booklet before you set sail. It’s packed full of helpful information about what children can expect when sailing with Captain Mickey. Plus, there are some helpful tips for parents, too!
I wish you smooth sailing and sunny skies! Please let us know if you have any more questions.
SEAS the adventure!
