Welcome to planDisney, Sue!
How exciting that you'll be visiting
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort for a conference. This is one of my favorite resorts. Last year, I had the pleasure of staying in Gran Destino Tower. All I can say is "Wow!" Even though it is technically a Moderate Resort, it felt like a Deluxe Resort. The Dig Site Pool was spectacular. The dining options were impressive. The walk around Lago Dorado (particularly as the sun is rising) was soul-refreshing. The hotel even smelt amazing! The room was comfortable. Even the elevators (yes, you heard me) were so cool.
If you want to enjoy a drink one evening, head up to
Dahlia Lounge. As Abuela from Encanto says, "The Magic is strong — and so are the drinks!" The views are amazing! Also, I really loved grabbing a Spanish-inspired coffee and a pastry every morning at
Barcelona Lounge.
Sue, back in 2019, Walt Disney World had a special offer called Mid-Day Magic Tickets. These tickets were valid for admission after 12:00 PM. However, since the beginning of the pandemic, these tickets haven't been available. Unfortunately, we haven't been told if or when they will return. You can always keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any updates on this. However, for now, you'll have to pay for a
standard ticket if you'd like to visit EPCOT. I know that's not the answer you wanted to hear, Sue. Hopefully, you'll still be able to enjoy some time in EPCOT during your stay.
Have a great trip!
Mike
