I'm considering (yet another) trip to Disney and I've never been during the Christmas holidays. But I can't go until right after Christmas. How long after Christmas are the decorations up in the theme parks?

    Hello, Pierce!

As if Walt Disney World weren't magical enough throughout the rest of the year, you won't believe how truly spectacular the parks and resorts are during the Christmas season. They are truly breathtaking!

The holiday decorations remain throughout the parks and resorts through the New Year holiday, at which point, they'll start to come down here and there. On our first early January visit, the parks and our resort were fully decorated as late as January 3rd; three days later, when we returned from a Disney cruise, everything was down.

Keep in mind that the Christmas decorations go up well before Thanksgiving, too, so if you can sneak in a trip in November, you'll be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Christmas season as early as the first week in November.

Enjoy planning your truly magical Christmas holiday in Walt Disney World! Be sure to send more questions as you think of them, too. We love to help!
