I'm considering purchasing the California Resident 3-day ticket, but I'm concerned about the reservation process. How difficult is it to get a reservation since Disney limits the number of reservations available for this type of ticket?

Hello, Isela, and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you so much for stopping by to ask this great question about the limited Southern California Resident Ticket offer that's coming soon. This special 3-day, park hopper ticket (going on sale December 3, 2025) is for Guests who reside within ZIP codes 90000 and 96199 only.

If you are able to provide the required proof of Southern California residency with a government-issued photo ID, Isela, then you would be able to purchase the 3-day, one park per day SoCal Resident Ticket - an amazing deal! You're then welcome to visit the parks three times from January 1 through May 21, 2026 - subject to theme park reservation availability.

Although I can't guarantee reservation availability, because you will need to make park reservations for all three days at the time of purchase, if you purchase early, there's a good chance your desired dates should be available. I recommend thinking through your visit dates now so you're ready to secure those desired dates right away. And remember, tickets may be used on nonconsecutive days. I know that might feel a bit overwhelming, Isela, but I'm happy to share that you can also change your reservation dates at any time if there are dates available before the May 21, 2026 expiration. To change a park reservation, you'll need to actually cancel your reservation and then book a new one. You can do this in either the Disneyland app or on the Disneyland website. Make sure your ticket is linked to your Disney account.

I hope this information has been helpful for you, Isela, and you'll be making your plans to visit the Happiest Place on Earth very soon. If you have some flexibility on dates, you may want to consider visiting California Adventure Park in early February to experience the bright and beautiful festivities of Lunar New Year and Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession, especially if you are a fan of parades! It's my very favorite! Seeing it at sunset too is dazzling.

Have the most magical visits, Isela!

    Warmest wishes,
    McCayla
