Welcome to planDisney, Lorraine!
A visit to Walt Disney World Resort is sure to add a little magic to any professional conference visit. You could stop by EPCOT for an amazing dinner and a
viewing of Harmonious. Or you could head over to Disney's Hollywood Studios to watch the
recently returned Fantasmic!, a Guest favorite. There are so many fabulous ways to end an evening. I am sad to report that Walt Disney World Resort tickets do not have half-day/evening options.
Tickets are sold as single or multi-day and are valid from park open to close.
This may not have been the news you were hoping to hear, but I feel I should mention that you can squeeze in a lot of fabulous fun in half a day at your favorite park. If a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth will make your half-day or evening, here are some tips on how to make the most out of a short park day visit.
- When choosing a dining location, stick with quick service options. Each park offers a variety of locations with great food and you will be in and out in a much shorter period of time. Table service options tend to take longer which is great when you are taking things slow, but may not be preferable with a limited window. I also suggest using the Mobile Food & Beverage Order option to save even more time during your meal.
- Choose the park that has the latest hours for the day or days you wish to visit. Disney's Animal Kingdom closes much earlier than Magic Kingdom Park, so this may not be the ideal choice for an evening visit.
- Pick your top three must-see experiences or attractions and prioritize those first. Anything extra is a magical bonus.
- If you will be at the park for half a day, consider using Disney Genie+. This add-on service gives you the ability to book Lightning Lane entrances throughout your time in the park and can save quite a bit of time. You can even book your first experience while you are at your conference, so it is ready when you arrive. Just be sure to look for those later return times!
Should you decide a theme park ticket is not ideal for a half day, there are still a variety of ways to experience Walt Disney World Resort without visiting the theme parks. You can enjoy character or signature dining at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, check out the entertainment at
Disney Springs, or even enjoy fireworks and treats on a
Fairytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise. The possibilities are endless!
We hope to see ya real soon!
