Hiya Sarah!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for sending us your question today! As a fellow Canadian, I was so excited to see your question in our queue, and I cannot wait for you to experience the Disney magic this year. And since I grew up in Quebec, that practically makes us neighbours, right?
Now, let’s talk about how you can reschedule your reservations and make sure that your vacation is as magical as possible! You are correct that you can
modify your hotel reservation online. However, you might still have to reschedule your park tickets once they have been linked to your account. Simply log into your
My Disney Experience account and click on “My Plans.” There, you should be able to click on “Tickets and Memory Maker” and then on “Change Ticket.” In the “My Plans” section, you will also be able to cancel your theme park reservations and reschedule any other reservations you might have had. There is, unfortunately, no way to reschedule theme park reservations at this time, so the best option is to cancel them and
make new theme park reservations. However, you will have the opportunity to reschedule dining reservations. Also, if you need help with any of your reservations, don't hesitate to
reach out to a Cast Member via email or chat! Cast Members are real-life magic makers and I always go to them when I have issues or questions.
Once your reservations are organized, that is when the real fun begins! Indeed, you have picked such a fun time to come and visit, whether you decide to reschedule your trip or not. Since Disney loves to celebrate, holidays are extended at the Walt Disney World Resort, meaning that September is Halloween season, and November is officially Christmas time. With those holidays come so many unique activities and offerings that are not available during the rest of the year. For example, special after-hours events are offered at Magic Kingdom Park every year for both holidays! I wish I could tell you which season I prefer, but they are both so fun in their own ways. There is something truly so special about
going trick-or-treating and dressing up at Magic Kingdom Park, but
seeing the snow fall on Main Street USA is especially magical. Either way, know that you will have an incredibly magical experience, no matter what time of year you pick!
I hope this was helpful, Sarah, and that you and your loved ones will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to help, especially from one Canadian to another!
Have a magical day, neighbour,
Ariane
