Ahoy, Susan!
It is wonderful to hear you are considering booking a magical vacation on the
Disney Wish this spring! May is one of my favorite times to set sail with Disney Cruise Line.
Susan, it sounds like you are an experienced cruiser as a
Gold Castaway Club member, and the stateroom location is important to you. I've sailed in almost every location, including in aft staterooms, and have not had any issues with motion, lights, or exhaust. My only observation from sailing in aft staterooms is feeling the ship's movement if it has to back in alongside the pier. This wasn't bothersome at all, but I was aware the ship was docking. If you feel the motion at any time, you can visit the
Health Center on Deck 1 for complimentary seasickness medication. I've also found that Guest Services sometimes has some on hand. Mickey's Mainsail on Deck 5 will have some over-the-counter options available for purchase. Also, if you need any other
services while onboard, you can submit a Special Services request form up to seven days before sailing. Since this is an accessible stateroom, I think you'll love the extra space both indoors and outdoors. I can imagine you'll have a spectacular view while docking at
Disney Castaway Cay, and a beautiful backdrop for your photos of the island from your extended verandah.
I'm wishing for smooth seas and gorgeous weather on your May sailing, Susan. The Disney Wish will make you feel like you are staying in a beautiful castle at sea! I know you will love every magical moment. If you have any other planning questions, please visit us again, as we are always happy to help.
