I'm considering booking a stay at Yacht Club but I just learned that dogs are allowed there. Are the dog-friendly rooms relegated to certain areas of the hotel so that it's possible to stay in a pet-free area due to allergy and noise concerns?

    Hello, Jennifer,

Thank you for sending your question to planDisney.  How terrific that you are considering a stay at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. It is a lovely gem of a resort located within walking distance of EPCOT and a bit longer walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  But why walk to the latter destination when you can take the Disney Skyliner! And the resort also has what I believe is the best resort pool: Stormalong Bay. It is like a mini water park with its lush surroundings, a sand-bottom pool, and even a lazy river.  Making breaks in our day for pool time is a priority for us when we stay at this resort.

You are correct that Disney's Yacht Club Resort is one of the dog-friendly resort hotels. However, while there are designated floors and areas of the resort that are dog-friendly, the majority of the resort is not available for guests with dogs so that should provide you with a pet-free area.  When you check in, you can confirm with Guest Services at the resort that you are indeed in a pet-free area.

If you still don't feel comfortable with this, Disney's Beach Club Resort is right next door. In fact, the resorts are essentially one large building. It will offer nearly identical amenities, but with different theming. It is also a bit closer to EPCOT and the Disney Skyliner station.

If you have any further questions, please let us know. Wishing you a magical trip!
