Hi Wayne,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so happy to hEAR you planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Yes, you can book the rooms now and make
Disney Park Pass system and
advanced dining reservations later depending on availability. First things first, before you book, check the
theme park availability calendar to make sure there is Disney Park Pass system availability for the dates of your visit. Once you verify park pass availability, I suggest that you book a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
Keep an eye on the
Special Offers to see if any are released that are applicable to the dates of your visit. Once you are ready to add theme park tickets, try modifying that room only reservation to a
vacation package reservation. Currently, advanced dining reservations can be made 60-days in advance, so you would still have time to make those. I always mark that date on my calendar and get up at 5:45 a.m. to start trying. I prioritize our dining reservations with the hard-to-get restaurants like
Cinderella's Royal Table and
Be Our Guest Restaurant.
Make sure you have a
My Disney Experience account. Once you make a resort reservation, link that reservation in your My Disney Experience account. To link, just log into My Disney Experience, click on My Plans, and then click on Add More Plans. From there, click on
Link Reservations and Purchases. When you add your theme park tickets, log into My Disney experience to make park pass reservations. Those park pass reservations should then link to your My Disney Experience account. Keep in mind that park pass availability could change at any time. So, keep checking the park pass availability calendar until you are ready to add those theme park tickets.
Wayne, we are so excited to welcome you to the magic!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
