Hi, Liz! Thanks for taking the time to write to planDisney. One of my favorite Pixar movies is
Inside Out, and my family likes to tease me about that passionate "Anger" emotion inside my head when things are not going as planned. Let's see if we can bring some "Joy" into your life, so you can enjoy making some "Core Memories" at Disneyland Resort in a few short days!
When you made your
ticket purchase and
theme park reservation, you were emailed a QR code. I am guessing that you may be trying to use this code to link your tickets to your Disneyland account, which may be why you are getting the error message. The QR code serves as proof of your park reservation, but the number you'll actually use is the ticket ID number. Check your inbox for the email confirmation, and this is where you will find the number to link your tickets to your
Disneyland Mobile app. To do this, tap the icon that looks like three horizontal lines to reach the main menu. Click on"Tickets and Passes" and the "+" symbol. Select "Link Tickets & Passes," and you'll be able to scan the barcodes for the tickets with your smartphone's camera or enter the ticket ID numbers manually. If the issue is something else, call
Disneyland Ticketing at (714) 781-4636. The waits can indeed be long on the weekends, but try contacting them right when the phone lines open at 7 AM PST on a weekday.
Also, Guests cannot begin customizing their day with
Disney Genie within the Disneyland app until 7 AM, the day of their visit. The "My Day" tab is where you'll find Disney Genie recommendations and plans you've made, including dining reservations and Disneyland Resort hotel reservations. The Disneyland website has some short
video tutorials that I find very helpful.
I hope this helps a little, Liz! Best wishes from the planDisney Panel, and may all your dreams come true!
