I'm confused about the new disney braclet. We're staying at a near by resort but we're planning on buying the 6 day disney pass. Do we get a card or braclet? Can we book fast passes with either one? Is there any difference if we buy the pass elsewhere

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, David!

MagicBands are one of my favorite new pieces of technology to come to the Walt Disney World Resort. The allow each member of your family to wear their own tickets right on their wrist. As a day Guest to the resort who will not be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will receive an admission card for your theme park tickets. Both MagicBands and admission cards can be used to redeem your FastPass+ reservations at attraction and event touch points, which can be reserved through your My Disney Experience account. When our family has travelled with admission cards, my husband has been the "keeper of the cards" and has been in charge of retrieving everyone's admission cards prior to each FastPass+ reservation. If you are interested in using MagicBands for your trip, they can be purchased online from the Disney Store or from Walt Disney World Resort shops during your vacation.

If you choose to purchase your admission tickets from somewhere other than the Disney website, you will want to be sure to link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account. This will allow you to make your FastPass+ reservations 30 days in advance. I recommend doing this as soon as possible, since reservations for popular attractions and events go quickly!

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
