I'm confused about the Magical Express. I think I might want to get my own bags but you have conflicting answers on the site. Kara B says she always gets her own luggage, while Brigitta N says you must use the tags. Can you please clarify?

    Hi Amy,

So sorry for the confusion!  If you would like Walt Disney World to collect your luggage for you and transport it to your WDW Resort then you will need to put the yellow luggage tags on every piece of luggage so Disney can collect your luggage (behind the scenes at MCO) and transfer it to your resort.

On the other hand, Kara mentions that she sometimes collects her own luggage and brings it on the Magical Express Coach with her (they stow it in compartments underneath the coach) and then she has her luggage as soon as they arrive at the resort instead of waiting possibly 3 hours for it after they have checked in to their room. If you do not receive your luggage tags in the mail on time, you could also use Kara's example with collecting your own luggage while still taking advantage of the Magical Express Service!

I hope this clarifies things a bit more for you.  Have a magical day!

    Best wishes,
