Well, hello there, Thomas! I’m so happy that you reached out to planDisney again to help plan your upcoming trip. As the movie
Up reminds us, adventure really is out there, and your March trip is shaping up to be a great one.
Based on
the previous question you submitted, it appears you are planning to spend five days in the parks, and I have that your arrival date is March 16, 2026. As of today, the price difference between purchasing a five-day, 1 Park Per Day ticket and purchasing a five-day ticket with the Park Hopper Option
starting on that date is $95. This information comes from
the Walt Disney World Resort website but is subject to change.
The reason you may have been quoted a different price is likely because the cost of both the original 1 Park Per Day ticket
and the Park Hopper Option may have changed since you first purchased your tickets. While theme park tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, you can typically apply the amount you’ve already paid toward the purchase of a new ticket. If the new ticket is more expensive, which seems to be the case here, you would simply be responsible for paying the difference at the time you make the change. This could explain why the price you were quoted is higher than expected.
I would highly recommend trying to upgrade the ticket yourself by either
calling a friendly Cast Member at the resort or following the steps on the website to change your ticket to a Park Hopper.
To discover the price difference through the site, follow these simple steps:
- Select "My Plans and Tickets" from the My Disney Experience dropdown menu.
- Once logged in, scroll down until you see "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets."
- Under that heading, select "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker."
- Find the ticket in question and select "Change Ticket."
- Follow the prompts to change your ticket to one that has the Park Hopper Option.
This will show you the current price of the option you are selecting, and if you decide to proceed, you’ll be responsible for the difference when you make the change.
While I’m pretty biased and think
any time is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, I do love spring. Why? Because my favorite EPCOT festival takes place during that season. This year, from March 4 to June 1, 2026, the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will take over EPCOT and immerse it in outdoor kitchens, vibrant character topiaries, and the Garden Rocks Concert Series. While this is not a guarantee of this year’s offerings, be sure to check out
the International Flower & Garden Festival archives on the Disney Parks Blog to get an idea of what
might be in store.
Thomas, best wishes with your upcoming trip, and keep those questions coming. We’re always happy to help Guests plan their next adventure.
Onward,
Matt
