Hi Brittany!
At
Walt Disney World even getting from place to place can be as fun an adventure as Peter Pan and the Darling children had flying by the second star to the right!
The resort is about the size of San Francisco, so its
transportation system needs the capacity of small city. Buses, boats, the monorail, and the
Disney Skyliner deliver guests to the parks, resorts, and
Disney Springs.
The Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) is the original transportation hub. Adjacent to the Magic Kingdom parking lot, this spot is where guests who drive to the
Magic Kingdom board a monorail or ferryboat to reach the park. Resort monorails and the Epcot monorail also stop here. Theme park tickets are available for purchase at the TTC as well. Buses bypass the TTC and drop and pick up passengers off near the front gate of the Magic Kingdom at a complex of covered bus stops.
Buses run between the parks, and to and from the
Walt Disney World Resorts and the theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs. A few resorts offer monorail service or boat rides to the Magic Kingdom. The latest edition to the world of Disney transportation is the Disney Skyliner. These brightly colored gondola cars adorned with Disney and Pixar characters whisk you to
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Epcot from select resorts. All of these transportation options are free to guests staying in a Walt Disney World resort.
Wishing you wonderful travels!
