Welcome to planDisney, Elyssa Joy. Thanks so much for dropping by; we’re so glad you’re here!
The tiered ticketing system was initially introduced in early 2020 before Covid forced the Disneyland Resort to shut down. When Disney Management announced ticket prices after disclosing the reopening date, the tiered ticket system was re-introduced again.
There are many different ticket options for Guests, whether they wish to visit only one day or multiple days. Additionally, Guests can choose to visit only one park a day or park hop to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park in one day. Personally, I love the flexibility of visiting both parks on the same day and it literally is just a hop across The Esplanade.
The tier system only affects single day tickets, whether you’re visiting only one park or opting for park hopper. The tiers aren’t applicable if you’re buying multi-day tickets. Tier 1 ticket is the lowest priced and has the most blockout dates, whereas Tier 5 ticket is available without blockout dates but is the most expensive. Based on the current 60 days listed on the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar, Tier 1 ticket is not available for park reservations so Guests will need to have a Tier 2 or higher ticket type in order to visit between opening day (April 30, 2021) through June 28, 2021. If you wish to visit after June 28, 2021,
Hakuna Matata, Elyssa Joy. Disneyland Resort will release additional dates on a rolling basis so be sure to check back regularly on
Disneyland.com.
