I'm confused about the difference between Memory Maker and Photo Pass? We are not staying on a Disney property so where do we get one? How much are they?

Hello Elaine, and thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an important question.

I love making memories with my friends and family when I visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Disney’s PhotoPass is a Photography service that allows me to capture every magical moment with some of the most iconic landmarks on the planet as a backdrop. PhotoPass is a complimentary service that offers you the ability for everyone to get in the picture. You will see photographers stationed at various locations throughout theme parks and at Character meet and greet locations. They even have the ability to capture your photos and videos onboard several rides and attractions. These photos are uploaded to your My Disney Experience account using a MagicBand or PhotoPass Card.

Memory Maker is the service that allows you to crop, edit, download and share your PhotoPass Photos. Any guest can purchase a Memory Maker and link it to their My Disney Experience account. It will allow you to upload, edit and download as many photos as you like for 30 days. You will want to make sure you have saved all of your photos before they expire. If you purchase a Memory Maker at least 3 days in advance of your trip, you will only pay $169. If you decide to purchase when you arrive you will pay the regular price of $199. You can purchase a Memory Maker online or at most Disney Theme Park shops. Keep in mind that pricing is always subject to change.

    Say cheese,
