Hi James,
It's always nice to see you planning Disney at planDisney. When it comes to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation countdown, hitting your Disney dining day(s) is a magical milestone. It's the day I get to officially reserve my seat at
Steakhouse 71 for a Stack Burger lunch and at
'Ohana for Stitch waffles and POG juice.
Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel can make advance reservations for dining
online 60 days before their check-in day for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days). The exception to this is split stays - if you're staying at two different Disney Resorts Collection hotels during your vacation, you have two check-in days and two Disney dining days.
Mark your calendar, James - you can make dining reservations for your March 20 check-in stay on Thursday, January 19. A new batch of reservations goes live at
approximately 5:45 a.m. EST each day, though often closer to 6:00 a.m. Regarding strategy, be sure to book your reservations by popularity, not by calendar date. Priotizie popular dining experiences like character dining and dinner shows like
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue as close to your check-out date(s) as possible.
If you don't initially find availability at the restaurants you seek, James, please do not lose hEARt. Searching for availability in the
My Disney Experience mobile app ("+" sign on the bottom menu of the app's homepage --> Check Dining Availability) lets you focus on all of the options that
are available. Dining availability changes in real-time as Guests reimage their park days so there's also a good chance availability will open up closer to your arrival.
Thanks so much for letting planDisney help plan your great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
