I'm confused. Allears.net says wi-fi is now complimentary in Disney guest rooms but then talks about a $10/night charge. I am staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter in June 2012. Will I be able to access the internet on my iPad for free?

    Hi Nancy!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

I can understand the confusion.  For many years, Disney charged for internet access.  However, last last year and into early this year, Disney rolled out free WiFi at the resorts.  In the beginning, it was just select Disney Deluxe Resorts but it was quickly expanded.

So you will have free WiFi access at Port Orleans French Quarter.  However, my personal experience has been that the WiFi is overwhelmed and doesn't work that well when the hotel is full of guests.  I have the greatest success using it at odd hours such as in the middle of the night.  Hopefully, Disney will improve the performance soon.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
