I'm coming to WDW in October. We are surprising our 2 boys ages 3 and 5. We are currently staying at the Polynesian but I am debating changing our reservation to the Art of Animation Cars Suite. Which resort would offer the best experience for my boys?

    Hi Michelle!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

These are two great Resort choices, and I am sure your boys would enjoy both.

Disney's Polynesian Resort is a beautiful resort, with a pool area - The Nanea Volcano Pool - that features a 40-foot high volcano as well as a waterfall and a 142-foot tubular waterslide. Nearby is a children's wet-play area. Wishes fireworks at the Magic Kingdom park can be viewed from the beach.  You have several choices of places to eat at this resort, and your transportation options are by bus, monorail or boat.  You are also within walking distance of the Transportation and Ticket Center, which offers further transportation options (the monorail link to Epcot, for example).  This would be my favourite choice of the two resorts.

A Cars Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort would be a really fun place to stay - the theming stretches right through the guest rooms, and the outside pool areas, and I would guess that your boys would enjoy feeling part of the Cars experience.  Your dining options can be found at Landscape of Flavors food court, and your transportation around the Walt Disney World Resort is by bus.

If you have any other questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
