I'm coming to WDW in 2 months. We are spending an afternoon in DD & then going 2 Pop C. We have ADR @ Chef Mickeys @ 745, & want to make it to MK to watch Wishes by 9. I know the monorail goes right from CR to MK, how long does it take?

Hi Letitia!  You have a packed day planned!  You are correct, the monorail does go from the Contemporary Hotel (where you will be eating at Chef Mickey's) to the Magic Kingdom.  The Magic Kingdom is the forth stop when you board at the Contemporary.  It will head to the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC), Polynesian Resort, Grand Floridian and finally, the Magic Kingdom.  When you finish your dinner, you will need to take an escalator or elevator up to the Monorail Concourse and board.  I would allow approximately 20-25 minutes to get to the Magic Kingdom (because you won't be sure exactly when the next monorail is arriving once you finish dinner.)

As an alternative,  you can easily walk to the Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary in 7-8 minutes (at a leisurely, not rushed pace).  Simply exit the hotel through the lobby, turn right and follow the signs for "walkway to the Magic Kingdom."  Given that your dinner is beginning at around 7:45, this might be your best bet to arrive at the park by 9.  My family loves Chef Mickeys, and we usually finish our meal with this exact stroll before riding a few more rides.

I hope you have a wonderful evening!  It sounds great!
