Hi! I'm coming down there tomorrow morning (Aug. 5,2010). Any last minute tips? (I'm 21. My brother is 17 and my nephew is 11)

Hi, Cierra!  You've come to Moms for last minute tips, so be prepared for the Mom type of tips!

Stay hydrated!  It is really hot at Walt Disney World right now, even hotter than normal for this time of year. If you don't like plain water (or if the boys don't), pick up some of the individual drink mixes so you can flavor bottled water with iced tea or lemonade.

You can get free ice water at the counter service locations.

Use Fast Pass whenever you can to help avoid waiting in long, hot lines.  If it's available and you don't mind separating, you can also use single rider lines at things like Test Track at EPCOT.

We like to head to the theme parks early in the morning and stay late when it's hot, and then in the afternoon, plan to spend it back at the pool at your resort or spend it in the air conditioned shops and restaurants.  It helps keep the kids happy.

Carry a backpack with some snacks - nuts and trail mix that doesn't contain meltable chocolate works best, but think about peanut butter crackers, pretzel sticks, and other quick snacks.

Always know where you all are.  You don't have to stay glued at the hip, but if you plan to separate, make a definite plan for a place and time to meet later.

Wear comfortable shoes.  Now is not the time to worry about fashion!  Sneakers, Crocs, or something that you can stand and walk in all day without fear of blisters is going to be best.

Oh - and check in with your mother so she knows you're okay!  With a 19 year old daughter, I know Moms still worry even though their kids have grown up.

And the last thing?  Just go and have an absolutely fabulous time!
