Hey howdy hey, Ashley!
You’ve got a friend in me at
planDisney, and I’d love to congratulate you on your exciting news! I can’t think of a better place to celebrate
your gender reveal than at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Unfortunately, I don’t think it will be possible to alter the Disneyland Forever fireworks, since those are planned and scheduled ahead of time. However, there are plenty of other fun ways for you to celebrate this special occasion at the Disneyland Resort! First, be sure to stop by
Guest Relations at City Hall in
Disneyland Park, or Chamber of Commerce in
Disney California Adventure Park, to pick up
complimentary “I’m Celebrating!” buttons. You could even ask a Cast Member to write “It’s a girl!” or “It’s a boy!” on the buttons (without you seeing, if you have the gender written down), then find a
Disney PhotoPass Photographer to help you capture your excitement as you take a look at the button! Sleeping Beauty Castle would be a beautiful backdrop for this reveal!
For another fun idea, I’d recommend purchasing a pair of pink and blue baby booties ahead of time, and bringing them with you. Once you’re in the parks, find the perfect spot for a reveal, whether it’s with a favorite Character, or in front of a special spot in the theme parks. Find a PhotoPass Photographer to help you capture this special moment. For the first picture, hold up both baby booties, then, open your envelope with your exciting news. Pose for pictures with the pink or blue booties, depending on the verdict! You’ll never forget this magical moment thanks to the pictures you’ll capture! I recommend purchasing
Disney Genie+ Service, since unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads are included for the day, which is definitely worth it with once-in-a-lifetime pictures like these!
Also, as you plan your celebratory visit to the Disneyland Resort, keep in mind that Disneyland Park will be closing early on May 3 and 4 for Disneyland After Dark:
Star Wars Nite. Disneyland Park will close at 8:00 PM both of those nights, and Disney California Adventure Park will close at 10:00 PM. I took a look at the
five-day schedule for the first week of May, and it looks like the Disneyland Forever fireworks will take place on Sunday, May 1, Friday, May 6, Saturday, May 7, and Sunday, May 8, if you hope to cap off your special visit with this touching fireworks show.
I hope these ideas help spark the perfect plan for your gender reveal, Ashley! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy and a wonderful time celebrating your little Mouseketeer at the
Happiest Place on Earth!
See ya’ real soon,
Kristin
