Hi Lisa!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for stopping by! We are happy to help answer your question about your upcoming visit to
Walt Disney World! We have experienced the parks with our family members ranging from 6 to 60, and with a myriad of mobility needs, so I am happy I can assist you.
Lisa, although you will be wearing a medical boot, rest assured you can experience the best of the parks and resorts! Guests with
mobility issues can rent a scooter or wheelchair at the park entrance in order to minimize the amount of stress on their feet while visiting. The cost of wheelchair rentals is $12 per day. You can prepay for a length of stay rental, where you pick up the wheelchair at the entrance of the park on each day you will be visiting. The only caveat to this is that the wheelchair must be returned at the end of each day. Should you require the use of a wheelchair for the parking lot, or to utilize at your resort, my suggestion is to look into a wheelchair rental service in the Walt Disney World area. Walt Disney World recommends their third-party vendor of ScooterBug, and their information can be found at the
Wheelchair Rental link.
Lisa, I do hope this helps you plan a most magical vacation!
