I'm coming to Disney World with my 2 kids, my mom, my sister and her wife in March 2016. We would really like to stay in a place that has a kitchen. Are there other affordable options besides the Wilderness cabins? They seem too small for our group.

    Hello, Wendy,

Walt Disney World has a lot of options with resorts, and I have some ideas that might work for you and your family.  If I added correctly, there are 6 people in your party. With that number of guests, Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's All-Star Music Resort have family suites that can accommodate up to 6 guests. The family suites include a bedroom with one queen-size bed; a living area with a double-size sleeper sofa; a sleeper chair; a sleeper ottoman; a kitchenette and 2 bathrooms.  While it is a full kitchen, you do have a smaller option.

Similarly, you could always opt to book two rooms at any of the resorts, including the value resorts that are still filled with Disney magic and include all the perks, but they have a more friendly budget. If you'd like the rooms to have a shared interior door, you'd want to include a note in your reservation to request connecting rooms (no guarantees).  If you'd like them just side by side, you would want to request adjoining rooms (again, no guarantees). However, if you book two of these rooms you won't have a kitchen.

If having a kitchen is a priority, you may also want to look into a Deluxe Villa. These are part of the Disney Vacation Club, but non-members are welcome to book them, too. While these may cost more, they would provide you with ample space and a full kitchen,  You may even find a Special Offer that may make them more affordable for you.
