Hi, I'm coming to disney world Jan-12 to19 and wanted to go to magic kingdom on sunday but they are having the marathon that day. Would magic kingdom have a lot of people? Also are there any road closures? We will be renting a car. Thank you.

    Hi Samantha!

The Magic Kingdom on the Sunday of the marathon should be just fine!  The crowd levels during marathon weekend are actually quite nice.  And Sunday afternoon, a lot of runners will be traveling home, or if they're like me, will be sleeping all day after an early race!

There will be some road closures.  The Disney buses will be able to navigate around them easily, and if you are driving you can get road closure information from your resort front desk.  If your desk doesn't have them, you can usually find them in the "Final Race Information" booklet that will be available on the Walt Disney World marathon website, a few weeks before race weekend.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!  Enjoy your trip!
