I’m are coming to Disney world didn’t realise that the not so scary Halloween party required separate tickets to the 2 week pass we had. They all seem to be sold out now for the dates we are there. Anyway we can get tickets even resale? Thank you

Hey Howdy Hey Kiera and welcome to planDisney!

The fall at Walt Disney World Resort is such a great time to visit. All of the theme parks have subtle fall touches throughout them as well as some of the resorts. The seasonal and festive food options in the parks and resorts are some of the best throughout the year! Thank you for your question on Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party, let's see what we can come up with.

As you have noted, separate tickets are required for special events such as Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party and are sold in short supply for an exclusive atmosphere for these events. Once tickets are sold out, it is rare but still possible more availability will open up. I would keep checking back online to see if anything does open up as well as checking at the front entrance ticket windows on the night of the party you are interested in to see if there is any availability.

Concerning buying tickets resale, this comes with a great deal of risk. There are several sites out there that claim to have discounted tickets you can purchase but just make sure to do your homework on them. Really look for the reviews on the companies and details of what they can guarantee. Per information on the Walt Disney World site, theme park and special event tickets are nontransferable or refundable so when you purchase tickets from sites such as these, if an issue were to arise, Disney might not help you out at all because you did not buy them from Disney. So really make sure you thoroughly look through any resaler if you do choose to go that route.

I will say that one really fun thing we try to do when we are in Walt Disney World for special events such as Mickey's Not-So-Scarry but do not have tickets for, is doing a little resort hopping. Most times, you can find special Halloween theme treats at most resorts, especially the Magic Kingdom resorts. This gives you a reason to take a monorail trip to each and do a tasty treat monorail crawl yourself. Take time to check out the resort, look at the grounds, the shops, and the dining locations and enjoy the evening. You can also plan to make Disney's Polynesian Village Resort the last stop and from the beach of this resort you can see Cinderella Castle From and have a great view of the fireworks. During the show, the music is piped in for the full experience and you can enjoy the show from the beach which is my second favorite place to view them!

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your upcoming trip next month. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach out and let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
