I'm coming to Disney World in December & it appears that some event times are after the scheduled hours, for ex Electric water parade at 10:35,Happily Ever After at 9, Illumination 9:30.How can you take these shows in when they're after hours?

Hello Brenda! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

There are so many activities, attractions and shows offered each and every day at Walt Disney World Resort, that it often seems like the scheduled Theme Park hours cannot contain them all.  Rest assured, you will be able to experience all of those nighttime activities that seem scheduled after the Theme Parks close.

Not only do posted Theme Park Hours frequently change, but the large-scale entertainment spectaculars are usually one of the final elements that close out a day at Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park. The scheduled Theme Park closing time is not the time when the main gates close, but an indication to guests that many attractions and shops are closed for the day.

My family and I often use these “after hours” to enjoy a Mickey Bar and  finish up some last-minute shopping.  If you are visiting the Magic Kingdom, you may be interested in experiencing the Kiss Goodnight which happens in front of Cinderella Castle roughly 30 minutes after scheduled theme park closing and after the Happily Ever After Fireworks Spectacular.

The Electrical Water Pageant actually occurs in Seven Seas Lagoon outside of Magic Kingdom. For the proper experience, I recommend you find a location such as the beaches at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for the proper experience.

    Have a Magical Night!
