Hi there, I'm coming to disney with my two kids (12 and 13) for two weeks this July and wanted to go to see the fireworks at the magic kingdom one night. I've heard that you can hire a boat to watch them from?? Or any other suggestions on good spots?Emma

    Hi Emma,

Yes, the Wishes fireworks cruises on Seven Seas Lagoon are just amazing!  When my family booked this experience in December of 2008, our cruise left from the dock at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and we took an enchanting ride across Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon until the cast member driving the pontoon boat found just the right location in front of Cinderella Castle to view the fireworks.  She even piped in the music to accompany Wishes on her boat speakers.  It was a magical evening, indeed.  To book an experience like this, call (407) WDW-PLAY and they will discuss pricing options and points of departure.  In my opinion, this is definitely an experience worth considering!

Another great fireworks viewing location, however, would be the beach at Disney's Polynesian Resort.  Just grab a hammock or beach chair and wait for the magic to unfold.  You could also watch the Electrical Water Pageant from this location.  I particularly enjoy an evening like this with a pineapple soft serve treat from Captain Cook's in my hand.  Seriously, if you haven't already done so, wander into the Polynesian before the fireworks and try one of these tasty treats!

Wishing you a magical evening as you watch the fireworks!
