I'm coming in Dec, but also going again w/family in March 2011. I think I've done it all, but I know there is so much more to do. What can you offer someone who has been multiple times (8) that never gets old but also can be done differently or w/a twist.

    Cassie:

For someone who went 8 times last year, I can understand where you're coming from... Here are some things to consider for your upcoming trip:

    • Take advantage of Disney's dining variety.  I try to eat at a few new restaurants on property every trip not only to experience new tastes but spontaneity. This doesn't mean I can't seek out my favorite snack, the Dole Whip, but new eats = new treats.
    • Discover why Disney calls their 'rides' attractions. On our family's last trip, we finally began to slow down our pace to enjoy all that the Imagineer's had intended for many of the attractions starting with the game room at the end of Spaceship Earth where we played electronic shuffleboard and virtual surgery for almost an hour!  The Training Lab at Mission: SPACE captivated my boys who love video games. And we were all glad we took the longer Gorilla Trail when we disembarked the Kilamanjaro Safari rather than running on to Expedition Everest at the Animal Kingdom. Take time to ride the riverboat over to Tom Sawyer's Island at Magic Kingdom, too.
    • Take a tour:  You can visit the utilidors of the Magic Kingdom on the Keys to the Kingdom tour or for a fraction of the time and expense, consider the Behind the Seeds Tour at The Land in Epcot for just $16. One of my favorite self-tours is One Man's Dream at Hollywood Studios, and best of all, it's free!
    • View the fireworks from a new perch:  You can take advantage of the new Pirates & Pals Voyage that allows you to catch the MK fireworks from the water (talk about memorable) or you don't have to spend a dime if you head to the Boardwalk for Illuminations or the beach at the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian for Wishes.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
