I'm clueless. We have never been to disneyland or world. We are flying from Spokane, Wa. No idea where to stay or where to go. We will be arriving on june 17 and staying till the 24th. Two adults and three kids ages 12,10 and 7. Any help will be great

Welcome Erin to the panel. We will be glad to help you with your trip planning along the way. Let's start with your resort selection.

Depending on your budget you have many great choices of places to stay. The most expensive ones will offer the closest locations to the parks, finest pools, and more dining and other amenities. These are the Deluxe resorts. My favorite is the Yacht and Beach Club which are within steps of Epcot and a short boat ride to Hollywood Studios. The Boardwalk resort is also in this location. If you wish to be closer to the Magic Kingdom then you can select the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, or Contemporary which are all on the monorail line. All three are great and a selection would depend on your choice of motif. If you are into animals I can suggest the Animal Kingdom Lodge where you can book a savannah room and watch the animals right from your balcony all day and night.

If a Deluxe resort is out of your budget you don't have to fret as there are great moderate and value resorts to choose from. My favorite moderate is the Port Orleans and love the French Quarter side. This resort is located where you can take a short boat ride to Downtown Disney to enjoy the sites and sounds of this great Disney area. When it comes to a Value resort you will find them to be simple but clean and efficient and a great way to save money during your stay. My choices are either Pop Century for regular rooms or the new Art of Animation and their new Family Suites which would be excellent for a family of your size. They come with a bedroom with queen bed and bath and living area with more sleeping options plus another bath. They also come with a small kitchenette so you can prepare simple things for breakfast and snacks.

As you can see you have plenty of great resort options and it just depends on budget and interests with the themeing.  I would LOVE to help you plan your trip with park insights and itineraries so just ask again...no space left!
