Hey there, hi there, ho there, Anne Julie, and welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet to find pixie-dusted answers to your Disney vacation planning questions. I've got good news and potentially good news. First the potentially good news.
Anne Julie, the word from Moana and Stitch is that you must be a Guest staying at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort on New Year's Eve to see fireworks on the beach. Typically, wristbands are distributed from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the front desk/
Bell Services then from 5:00 PM to 11:50 PM at the Lava Pool Gate.
As you know, it never hurts to ask. I recommend you go to the front desk before you check out to see if there are exceptions for Guests with your circumstances.
The good news is that Magic Kingdom Park always performs two nights of Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks with two shows each night. Since you will be a Guest of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort on December 30 (New Year's Eve Eve), you can catch the show before you head back to Quebec.
Personally, I want to see fireworks at both Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT so I see Fantasy in the Sky on December 30 at Magic Kingdom Park and visit EPCOT for Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration on New Year's Eve. The World Showcase Lagoon pays tribute to every country with a spectacular display of pyrotechnics.
Anne Julie, I am so glad you stopped by because New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve Eve are truly magical at Walt Disney World Resort. Please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
