I’m checking into the Dolphin Resort later this month. Will the both the entire cost of the stay (room costs) and incidentals be held on my credit card when checking into the hotel or can I pay the room charges at the end of my stay?

    Hi Teri,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I hope you're getting excited for your stay at Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel! I love strolling over to Disney's BoardWalk and all its shopping, dining, and entertainment offerings. There's so much to see and do and enjoy.

As I don't have all the details on how you made your reservation, what the payment terms are for your reservation, or whether it's fully or partially prepaid, I can comment that — in general — you'll have a pre-authorization hold placed on your credit card at check-in for incidentals to cover items like room damages or breakage. Those holds will vary depending on whether your reservation is fully pre-paid or not, and the holds are typically removed in about 5 business days after your departure. Room charges for items like food, beverages, resort fees, parking and the like are separate from the incidentals, and you would pay those room charges when you check-out.

I hope this information helps with your question. If you have more questions or would find more details helpful, you can contact Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel at (407) 934-4000 to discuss your reservation.

Teri, here's wishing you a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
