Hi! I'm celebrating my son's 3rd birthday in Disney this upcoming Fall and would love to know what options I have for celebrations sent to the room. He's obsessed with Pirates and would love some cool ideas for celebrations or attractions.

Welcome to planDisney Natalie. Thank you for stopping by with your question.

I love celebrations and have a bunch of ideas for you to help celebrate your little scallywag's 3rd birthday. I have visited during a couple of my own birthdays and have been known to transform into a child during those visits. When it comes to your son's love for the pirate life you can visit my favorite park. Magic Kingdom Park has Pirates of the Caribbean. There is a slight drop in the boat and it is a dark ride. You can see ride experiences online to check if your son has his sea legs yet. But if he is a fan of Jack Sparrow this attraction features this classic character hiding along the ride. You will also want to hang out in front of the attraction before or after. Jack is known to make appearances and I have had amazing interactions with him. He is usually sneaking around right across from the attraction's entrance. If your little guy is wearing anything pirate-related Jack may enlist him in helping whatever plan he is trying to execute. Another fantastic area where he can pretend to be a pirate is one of my hidden gems at Magic Kingdom. Tom Sawyer Island is a toddler's make pretend paradise. There is a Fort and plenty of areas for him to roam free and play creatively. I always say to wear a patch over one eye before entering the dark fort and switch the patch like a true pirate.

In-room celebrations are no longer handled by Disney Floral and Gifts after August 27, 2023. Florida Fresh will be handling those types of celebrations and you can check back closer to the August 27th date. You can order a cake and have it delivered to certain restaurants with a special Mickey Mouse theming through Cakes at Walt Disney World Resort. This is a special way to celebrate his birthday. Finally, I would make sure you get him a pin to wear on his birthday while he is walking around. You can get these from the front desk of your resort. When cast members see him they will surely wish him a happy birthday. It makes everyone smile with every birthday wish.

I hope this information is helpful in planning your visit. If you have any other questions visit us again at planDisney.com and we will be ready to help.

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
