I'm celebrating my son's 6th birthday on 7/31 and that is the day we will be visiting the magic kingdom. He will have a button saying it is his birthday, but will the Disney characters see that and give him recognition on his special day?

    Hi, Christine!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m so glad you will be celebrating your son’s birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort soon…there’s no better place to spend a special day!

Picking up a complimentary birthday button for your son to sport around the theme park is a great idea. It can be customized with his name so he’ll receive personalized birthday wishes from Cast Members and Disney Characters all day! Not all characters can wish him a happy birthday verbally, of course, but they will still find a way to call attention to his button and make sure he feels extra special! If you have any table-service meals planned, let your server know you’re celebrating his birthday because you’ll likely receive some extra magic during the dining experience.

I hope this helps, Christine, and that you enjoy a perfectly pixie-dusted visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your son!

    Wishing you magic,
