I'm celebrating my birthday on the Magic with my family. I made reservations for Palo at 6 but the Pirate Party is that night. If the boys are at the Kid's Club during Palo where and when will they eat dinner and will we miss pirate activities?

    Ahoy, Katrina!

Happy Birthday! I can't imagine a better place to celebrate than on a Disney Cruise with your family. You'll be celebrated not only by your loved ones, but by the cast and crew of the Disney Magic. Make sure to pick up a birthday button at Guest Services so everyone knows it's your special day!

Dinner at Palo, the adult-exclusive restaurant on the Magic, is a wonderful way to celebrate in style. I always plan for at least a two-hour dining experience at Palo, which will run into the Pirate Night festivities just a bit if your reservation is at 6pm. Around 7:45pm on Pirate Night is the Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party, with a fun pirate show featuring favorite Disney Characters. Rotational dining that evening is pirate-themed, featuring some ARRRRR-mazing seafood offerings.

If your boys are in the Youth Club, they'll be served dinner in the club, usually around 5:30-6:00. You can find out the exact time dinner will be served in the club by checking your Personal Navigator, a daily schedule of all the activities happening around the ship.

If you're scheduled for the earliest (Main) dinner rotation, you'll head to the Walt Disney Theatre following the Deck Party for that evening's featured entertainment. After the show, you'll have a chance for some Character Meet and Greets or possibly a Pirate-themed family event in the D-Lounge before you'll head back to the pool deck for the Buccaneer Blast fireworks and Club Pirate dance party.

With all that being said, if you don't want to miss ANY of the pirate fun, you can always try to make a change to your Palo reservation on your first afternoon onboard. Disney Cruise Line always reserves a few spots that can be booked once you board the ship. Check your Personal Navigator for times and locations to make changes to your reservation.

Whatever you decide, you're sure to have an amazing time on your Disney Cruise Line vacation! - Diane W.
