I’m going to Cape May Cafe soon and I was wondering if we are allowed to take any leftover food, especially pastries, home? Since it’s all-you-can-enjoy, I don’t want it to go to waste in case we don’t finish

    Hi there, Kaylynn!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

I'm happy to help with your question about one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort restaurants - Cape May Cafe located at Disney's Beach Club Resort. I was so excited about the recent reopening of this popular dining location, and actually just booked dinner for my family there later this week! At this time, meals are being served family-style, with all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast items or surf-and-turf dinner selections delivered right to your table.

Guests visiting Cape May for breakfast will be able to enjoy such family favorites as pancakes, French Toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, potato barrels, and beef hash, as well as assorted pastries, fruit, made-to-order omelets, and of course, Mickey (and Minnie!) Waffles. Dinner guests will feel like they're visiting an oceanside town as they feast on delicious seaside offerings such as a Seafood Boil and Lobster Mac and Cheese. Not to forget the "turf" portion of the meal, steak and chicken take the spotlight on The Turf Platter, filled with slow-roasted strip loin with chimichurri, oven-roasted lemon-pepper chicken, mashed potatoes, and fresh vegetables. The dinner meal is accompanied by house-made Parker House rolls and cornbread, with flavored spreads. YUM! I'm getting hungry just thinking about our upcoming dinner!

If you fill your bellies with all the delicious offerings and find you have a few pastries/breads left over, I've always found that the Cast Members are happy to box your extras up to take with you. Of course, I would never ask for extras we didn't intend to eat at the restaurant, but I have two daughters that sometimes have eyes bigger than their appetites!

I hope you enjoy your dining experience at Cape May Cafe and have a magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!
